Connect from the Stunt Double app
Add the MCP server to Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT from Integrations in your workspace, and revoke a client's access when you are done with it.
Every client connects to the same endpoint, https://app.stuntdouble.io/api/mcp, and signs in with OAuth the first time it calls a tool. No API keys. The app gives you a shorter path for the clients below. For the rest, follow the client pages.
Claude Desktop
- In your workspace, open Integrations and choose Claude.
- Select Download .mcpb and open the file. Claude Desktop installs the server as an extension. It needs Node 18 or later on your machine.
- Call any Stunt Double tool. Claude opens a browser window so you can sign in and approve the connection.
If you would rather not install an extension, select Add it manually instead. In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, choose Add, and paste the endpoint URL. The Claude page covers the same steps for Claude on the web and mobile.
For Claude Code, run the command on the Claude Code page instead.
Cursor, Windsurf and other MCP clients
Open Integrations and choose MCP. Install Stunt Double from the Cursor marketplace, or import stunt-double/stuntdouble-mcp into your team marketplace. To add only the server, put it in .cursor/mcp.json under mcpServers.stuntdouble.url, as the Cursor and Windsurf page shows.
ChatGPT
The Stunt Double app is not in the ChatGPT app directory yet. You can connect it in developer mode:
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced, and turn on developer mode.
- Create a custom connector and paste the endpoint URL.
- Sign in to Stunt Double when ChatGPT asks.
Checklist runs and Stunt Double Index results show up as cards in the conversation.
What a client can do
A client asks for some or all of three scopes: mcp:read, mcp:write and mcp:run. A client that asks for none gets all three. Whatever it holds, it acts as you and reaches only the workspaces you belong to. The overview explains each scope, and tools lists what they unlock.
Revoke access
Go to Account, then Security, and find the client under connected apps. Revoke it there to end that client's access to your account.
